Christmas day / will be here soon / I see it / ev'rywhere
Lights and trees / Santa Claus / Christmas / in the air
I see children / with Christmas in their eyes
But I see / another side / as Christmas day – draws - near
Too much to do / too much to spend / too little Christ-mas-cheer
I see grown-ups / with worry in their eyes
Grown-ups like me
When will I find peace / peace on earth?
Time slows down / for children / they're counting down / the days
I remember / back in time / I used to feel that way
What do children know / that I've lost?
I know the Christ - mas story / of Jesus and His birth
Even though / I still believe / my faith gets left at church
What's happened / inside / of me?
When will I find peace / peace on earth?
Peace that passes understanding
Peace that seems so far away
Peace to help me get my soul back
Peace / like-the-first-Christ-mas-day
Wond'ring ' / as I sit / before the Christmas tree
Is the / problem Christmas / or is it / really me?
But I know the Christ of Christmas / He won't give up on me
He came to bring peace / peace on earth
Lord please take my hand
